Bình đẳng nơi Công sở, theo cách của Google

Tuần này, chúng tôi vô cùng vui mừng được đồng hành cùng Đại sứ quán Hoa Kỳ, Ủy ban Việt Pride và trung tâm ICS (Tổ chức bảo vệ và thúc đẩy quyền của người LGBT tại Việt Nam) để tổ chức buổi tọa đàm đầu tiên tại Việt Nam với chủ đề Công Sở Bình Đẳng, một phần của chiến dịch thúc đẩy nâng cao nhận thức về sự đa dạng cũng như bình đẳng đối với cộng đồng đồng tính nữ - đồng tính nam - lưỡng tính - chuyển giới (LGBT) tại nơi công sở.
Lượng tìm kiếm
về những cụm từ liên quan đến LGBT trên Google tại Việt Nam đã gia tăng 5 lần từ năm 2011. Các tìm kiếm có liên quan hàng đầu (như ‘LGBT là gì’ và ‘cộng đồng lgbt’) không chỉ thể hiện mức độ quan tâm ngày càng tăng tại Việt Nam mà còn cho thấy nhu cầu chia sẻ, truyền đạt kiến thức và kết nối tích cực hơn xung quanh sự đa dạng và bình đẳng giới.

Ngày càng có nhiều doanh nghiệp, tại Việt Nam nói riêng và thế giới nói chung, có mong muốn đa dạng hóa nguồn nhận lực vì họ nhận ra rằng sự đa dạng sẽ tạo ra những ý tưởng hay và sáng kiến mới. Tại Google, mục tiêu của chúng tôi đối với sự đa dạng về giới tính không chỉ nhất quán với nhiệm vụ cốt lõi là tăng cường tiếp cận thông tin mà còn vì đó là một điều đúng đắn.
Chúng tôi khuyến khích sự đa dạng về nhân sự tại môi trường công sở cũng như tại cộng đồng, nơi chúng ta sinh sống và làm việc. Chúng tôi tin rằng việc phá bỏ rào cản sẽ giúp các thành viên trong gia đình Google tập trung tốt hơn vào đam mê cũng như những người họ yêu thương, và mang lại những lợi ích thiết thực phục vụ những nhu cầu riêng của từng cá nhân tại Google. Chúng tôi hiểu rằng khi nhân viên thực sự hạnh phúc thì họ sẽ làm việc hiệu quả hơn, sáng tạo hơn và tư duy tốt hơn. Do đó, từ việc tuyển dụng nhân lực đa dạng về tư tưởng cho đến bồi dưỡng một nền văn hóa công bằng và toàn diện, chúng tôi luôn cố gắng tạo mọi điều kiện cho mỗi thành viên tại Google được là chính mình cũng như phát triển bản thân.

This week we’re delighted to support Vietnam’s first Work with Pride Dialogue, together with the US Embassy, the Viet Pride Committee and the ICS Center in a nationwide campaign to raise awareness of diversity, and promote lesbian-gay-bisexual-transgender (LGBT) equality in the workp
lace.
Searches
for LGBT-related terms on Google in Vietnam have increased five fold since 2011. The top related searches (“LGBT là gì” and “cộng đồng lgbt”) highlight not only the increasing level of local interest, but also
indicate
the need for more conversation, education and engagement around equality and diversity.
